World Literature Professional Writing Essay.
Paper details:
Please select examples you have found in the types of professional writing you would like to become better in writing. You can just start by posting examples, and you don’t need to worry about doing all of the ones you will eventually want to put. Just get started. As you may have some ideas in your head at the time you find and choose them, please jot those down right away, along with your post to the link or an excerpt of the full text. Let’s try to analyze these examples through the lenses of the first 4 modules. We have already gotten into syntax (Module 1) and lexicon (Module 2), and coming up are Diction/Semantics = Meaning (Module 3), and Rhetoric (venue/situation, purpose, writer’s attitude/tone, audience, etc.).
We will be going back and forth between the models you choose, and deepening our understanding of those concepts of language represented in the modules. You will be writing your own products, and you will be applying what you are learning in Modules 1-4 to the type of writing you are trying to improve in. As students post your models, we may find that there are some categories which form. In that case, we may try to find a way to repost these or to rearrange them into the groups so that we can work more effectively. I’ve already created one model group, called “Grey Literature,” using examples, including guidance/instruction, and models and analyses, of white papers.
I did that because I doubt any of you will want to do a white paper for this course, because it’s a big project (but if you want, please go ahead). So, I wanted to model for you the kind of information there is on the web about one particular type of professional writing. You should be able to find a lot on your own. I want you to search actively and create your own knowledge base, and then I will work with you to improve your writing aimed at those particular projects you define yourselves. Please follow the instructions.
