This project takes some of the key concepts discussed in the BNKG 1340 course and enables you to gain a better understanding of the key economic indicators that impact our economy and how they correlate to decisions made at the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) level.
The first four items can be provided in Microsoft Excel.
Choose five (5) economic indicators from the Economic Calendar (i.e. Housing Starts, Jobless Claims, Consumer Confidence, etc.) and note the date that the information was accessed and list your findings. A minimum paragraph for each of the five indicators is required.
Access five (5) business articles (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, etc.) on an economic indicator from the economic calendar.
Each summary must include the following items in a one-page analysis per article:
Title of Article, date of publication and author
Provide a synopsis of the article and identify the economic/financial concept addressed in the article
Identify a lesson learned from the article
References: List sources in APA format and ensure that the written paper is grammatically correct. The paper should be presented in a font no larger than a 12-point type.
