Authentic leaders are known to understand that have a purpose. This means that they understand where the company is heading and how they can help ensure that it stays heading in that direction. This will cause the leader to understand that they have purpose and are passionate about their work. Leaders who are passionate about the type of work they are doing are willing to help motivate others and try to get them to see their purpose for the company also.
Authentic leaders have certain values and will not let anything step in the way to compromise their set values they have set for themselves. These types of leaders can build relationships with employees and often earn their respect as their leader. They listen to the concerns of the employees and often try to help them feel as they are valued to the organization and not just a number.
Leaders will focus on the goals that are set and help employees also reach this goal. Authentic leaders will face stressful situations just like any other leader. However, they must learn how to remain calm during this situation that are facing that are stressful. Finally, authentic leaders are compassionate, and it show in their work. They understand what others are going through and often are more willing to offer a hand when the employee may need it.
Servant leadership have some of the same type of characteristics. The main difference is that servant leaders are more self-aware or what is going on around them and with others. These leaders are often strong when it comes to listen skills and help in resolving problems. These types of leaders are committed to help in building the organization up.
