I really enjoyed reading your post. Like you, I agree that the ranking of these four principles would be dependent on the specific situation. Although in my post I ranked the principles in the order of autonomy, nonmaleficence, beneficence, and justice I do agree with the possibility that these principles may switch depending on the situation and even ones worldview. For example in the Christian faith,
“The role of the nurse…grew out of a Christian understanding of the human person as created in the image of God and viewed the body as a living unity and the “temple of the Holy Spirit” (Shelly & Miller, 2006). This idea may affect how an individual of the Christian faith may rank the principles. Do you think that ones worldview is directly linked with how we rank the principles?
