Some countries are dependent on economic migrants working in foreign countries, because some countries are not be able to produce enough goods and services to trade and create a global economy. There are different theories to explain why some nations are poorer than others. One theory says that some nations developed trade practices early to create wealth, while others continue to practice traditional beliefs. Another theory is poor nations were not able to develop an economy to gain wealth for reasons they could not control.

The increasingly high percentage of people leaving their family for employment was the irony that promoted “family values” in the clip. Most people do not leave their families to take care of their family. The clip explained the money being sent through remittance has improved the lives of people living in poverty because they are able to have the things needed to survive.

A long-term solution to the problems that lead family members to leave home in order to work is to address global inequality. I understand that wealth is what divides groups of people and determines class. Although, there are nations that are extremely poor. I think a standard of living should be created to ensure that basic needs are provided to all. If actions can be made to prevent poverty to those who are vulnerable to poverty, concepts and plans can also be created to help those who are living in poverty.
